Mode Adjust was tasked with something never before done: create a recruiting tool that allows someone to experience a real life, first person, immersive, 360 degree perspective of what it’s like to run onto the field as an Oregon Duck. We created a proprietary 360 degree camera rig that could be worn, incased it in the game day helmet, then ran out onto the field with the team. For playback, we created a custom VR headset built into a Ducks helmet, complete with internal speakers. It allowed for recruits to adorn the helmet and instantly find themselves in the middle of the fray on game day. The experience was so well received, Oregon decided to release this clip of the tunnel runout for all Ducks fans to experience.
